Your business domain should be enough to start an email setup conversation. Sendar’s MCP workflow now lets an assistant add or resume a domain, show its DNS records, check recorded readiness and guide you to an approved first email without navigating the dashboard.
Connect once, then continue
Sign in or create your Sendar account in the connection window. After sign-in, you return to the original connection request. Email verification is still required. Select domain read and write access; if you want to send, select sending permission and its recipient and daily limits.
New accounts can choose to set up a domain in the conversation first. This creates a sending grant that stays blocked until you approve a verified domain. Existing connections keep their existing permissions.
DNS records and a clear next step
The start_email_setup tool reuses an existing owned domain or adds it. Its result includes the exact DNS records, current setup state and an approval link. The get_email_setup tool resumes the same domain after changes or interruptions.
Add the records at your DNS provider, preserving website and MX records and merging an existing SPF record. Automatic GoDaddy setup is still awaiting availability in GoDaddy’s live service, despite the template being merged into the public repository. The setup flow retains manual DNS instructions and a provider approval handoff for when support becomes available. It never treats a provider callback as proof of verification.
Approve the domain, then review the email
After DNS verification, open the setup approval link and approve that domain for the existing sending grant. Only the account and workspace that created the connection can complete it. The page cannot add OAuth scopes, change the approved recipient limits or switch an already bound sending domain.
Return to your assistant to preview an email and explicitly authorize its send. No email is sent during domain setup. Quota, suppression, domain restrictions and duplicate protection still apply; acceptance is not confirmed delivery.
Dashboard optional, human approval retained
The downloadable plugin now includes an onboarding skill and portable ChatGPT/Codex manifests. Direct MCP users can use the same tools. Account sign-in and approval windows are still necessary, and supported client behavior varies. Public directory review and an in-host acceptance test are separate from the live server workflow.
