Move a Postmark sending workflow to Sendar

Map the send request and test a small email workflow before a full migration.

Request mapping

Postmark's email API uses X-Postmark-Server-Token and fields such as From, To, Subject and HtmlBody. Sendar uses a Bearer key and from, to, subject and html. Parse recipients into an array rather than copying a comma-separated string blindly.

Check your requirements

Audit message streams, inbound processing, templates, attachments and event consumers used by your application. A successful basic send is not evidence that every feature has an equivalent. Keep the existing service for workflows you have not validated.

When is switching worthwhile?

Compare actual monthly volume, daily peaks, maintenance work and required capabilities. Sendar offers flat capped plans, a REST API, reusable templates and activity logs. A hard cap can stop sending when the allowance is reached; compare that trade-off with your existing plan. We do not assume Sendar is cheaper or better for every workload.

Pilot and rollback

Verify your sending domain without removing records used by existing senders. Send a small controlled workflow, check rendering and event handling, then move traffic gradually. Keep a routing switch back to the old integration. Never send the same production message through both providers.
