Send email with Claude & Cursor (MCP)

Connect your AI assistant to Sendar — it can send email, check delivery status, and list your domains for you. Total time: about five minutes.

Before you start

1. Create a free account at sendar.app (3,000 emails/month free, no card).
2. Verify your sending domain on the Domains page (DNS records).
3. Create an API key on the API Keys page — it looks like sndr_… and goes in the Authorization header.

Send your first email

In Cursor: save this as .cursor/mcp.json in your project (or add it in Settings → MCP). Replace YOUR_SENDAR_API_KEY with a key from your Sendar dashboard, then ask the assistant to send an email.

Claude Code

One command adds Sendar to Claude Code:

What the assistant can do

The Sendar MCP server exposes four tools: send_email (same rules as the API — the from address must use one of your verified domains), get_email_status, list_emails, and list_domains. Every call runs under your API key with your plan's normal limits, and sends show up in your dashboard like any other email.
